Isle of Palms-Day Three

Today we had a fun morning swimming in the pool; and after lunch, Daddy took us to the beach while Mamma and Mimi went shopping.  Daddy told them as they drove away, "Bye, bye, ladies, have fun storming the shopping mall!"  This is very funny if you have watched The Princess Bride.

Hannah made the hot dogs for lunch.

Pop taught Sarah all about lobsters and crabs.

Ruthie reads Asterix.

Sarah enjoys her lunch.

I tried to see if I could make this broken kite fly; it didn't work!

Pop gave us a police escort across the busy streets to the beach!  Thank you, Pop!

Isle of Palms-DayTwo

Today we played in the pool a lot!  We also went to the beach in the late afternoon.  It was pretty windy and there was the strongest current that I have ever felt there.  We had a really fun time playing in the waves with Daddy.  Daddy and Mamma did not want us to be outside in the hottest time of the day, so we came inside and watched Tom and Jerry.  Uncle Ronnie came for supper, and after that, Hannah, Bekah and I played our fiddles for Pop and Mimi.

Bekah, Moses and I enjoyed looking through Mimi's binoculars from the dock.

 Pop's boat, See "Hawk".

Pop and Mamma make sure everyone wears sunscreen.

That kite thingy in the background is attached to a little surfboard and a man stands on it and rides the waves.  It sure looks like fun!

Isle of Palms-Day One

Today we left for Pop and Mimi's beach house at the Isle of Palms.  We didn't make very many stops, so we got there in time for supper and a swim in the pool.  Also, when we had gone up to bed, we found our Tintin book 3, which had been missing a long time.  We must have left it here on our last trip!
We eagerly watch the signs as we get closer and closer.

 There is so much water!

 The ocean, finally!

And we have arrived!

Mimi is very busy supervising the placing of all our luggage.

Pop has his flags up: the Wake Forest and the Vanderbilt, because that is where Daddy and Mamma went to school.

When I get a chance, I want to upload some videos too.

To Grandaddy's House-Day Five

Today we left for home.  Sorry I didn't get any pictures, but we were all tired.  We had had a great time, but it felt so good to be back home again!

To Grandaddy's House-Day Four

Today is our last day.  The time has passed so quickly!  We found some grapes that were very ripe and very tart.  They were very juicy too!  We had a big storm.  Before the rain came, the wind was blowing hard.  Sticks were blowing off the maple trees, so Daddy told us to keep away from them.  Then the rain came right as we went inside.  It was amazing to see the wind blowing so hard!  Grandaddy took us all to Cracker Barrel for supper.  Uncle Edward was able to come with us this time.  We enjoyed that so much!

This juice appears harmless.  It is very spicy!

Two hot peppers in a pot.

The grapes were juicy!

We are Thompson...

...and Thomson,

We're policemen!

Daddy took this picture at Cracker Barrel.  We are sitting on porch.

To Grandaddy's House-Day Three

Today was a little cooler than yesterday.  I am used to the cool Boone weather, and it seemed so hot yesterday!  We didn't see Uncle Edward as much today because he had to work last night and was sleeping.  We had a good relaxing day, though, and sat around and visited a lot with Grandaddy.  We also played with the football a lot.

There were four on the bed, and the little one said, "Roll over, roll over"....

We are on the seventh floor.

Moses on the elevator.

I'm folding the laundry,

We usually play a lot of football here.  Today is no exception.

Moses is brushing his teeth with yogurt!

Moses and Noah found Daddy's old medals that he won swimming.
